In the first paragraph, Black Eyed Peas repeats the word “mama” twice. Before we enter school, mama is our first teacher who tells us what is love and how to love someone else. But now, he says that people are living in a life as if they have no mama. Detailed representation in third rap describes that children get addicted to violent computer games and want to act like what they see in the cinema. It is a social issue emphasized by BEP that parents are too busy with making money and they don’t have enough time to take good care of their children. Children learned huge amount of information through TV, internet, and games, but they cannot tell the right and wrong manners by themselves. As a result, kids accepted the bad concepts and are becoming colder.

According to BEP’s opinion, U.S government is another typical representative of “lacking love”. As lyric says, U.S government is trying to stop the terrorism overseas, however, at the same time people are under the threat of domestic violence and crimes. BEP is arguing that government should solve internal problem first rather than spend a lot of money, time and human resources wiping out all the potential foreign terrorism. Gang members of Bloodz, Crips and the KKK are the real terrorists making a lot of criminal activities and hurts to people. They should be arrested and punished as soon as possible. BEP also points out that U.S government is very selfish and self-interest. The politicians who start wars not because they want to liberate poor people in foreign countries or eliminate the potential threatening to U.S, but because they want to get benefits through weapon manufacturers. They don’t care people’ lives at all, just think about how many soldiers died in Iraq.

These points of view reflect that BEP is concerning some social and political issues. He uses the pop music as a medium to propose his concerns, for example, he wants the society to pay more attention to the children caring and educating. The kids, they need more love than adults, because they are the future. In addition, he argues the negligent performance of U.S government and politicians’ duties. The goal to set up government is to contribute a better life to people and the politicians, they own the responsibility to manage it. But, in BEP’s opinion, both of them don’t function well.
