One of the things I love most is Ohio State football. More specifically, I love going to games, and being a part of the crowd. The excitements and school spirit felt on game days is like nothing else. When we win, the whole campus has a different feel.
I know the way I love Ohio State football is different from the way other people do . One of the first times I noticed this was after a loss. When Ohio State loses, I am crushed, and feel very down. This is very different from fans who say "it's just a game." I do not believe that at all. To me, it is way more than a game, it is a part of who I am. I didn't understand how someone who was an Ohio State "fan" did not feel the same way I did. I didn't think they deserved to root for a team that they didn't truly care about and feel attached to.
Knowing that other people didn't care as much as I did didn't weaken my love for Ohio State football, but rather probably made it stronger. I felt like I had to prove that I was a great fan and really cared deeply about my team.
