Ever since I was a little boy, I always had a deep love for the game of basketball. I really get a lot of joy out of playing it, watching it, and even reading about it. This love really became evident when I was in high school, but since I was a multi-sport athlete, I could not just play basketball all of the time. Now that I am in college, all of that has changed and I can really spend a lot of time with just basketball. I even have the privilege to play every day at one of the recreational centers here at Ohio State. It’s always a joy comparing yourself to one of the players while in a game, or even calling out your favorite player’s name while you pull up for a jump shot.
This year, I had purchased student tickets for many of the buckeye basketball games. I would look forward to every game, no matter what day it was or how early I had to get to the stadium to stand outside and wait, wearing my scarlet and grey wig and nuthouse shirt. I am one of those people who have a deep obsessive love for buckeye basketball, a die-hard fan. Then there are others who don’t really care about the behind the scenes things that are going on, but will tune in and watch the game on TV if they are given the chance. These people are occasional lovers. I, on the other hand, will watch every game no matter what, then after the game read the post-game analysis given by multiple sportscasters, and then get on forum boards and read even more about what people have to say about the Buckeyes. Not only do I like to read about the team right now, but I even go so far to read about the players that Ohio State is recruiting, to game further knowledge of the future and what is in store for me. Some people think I may go a little overboard or care too much about Buckeye basketball, but to me, they don’t care enough. This means the world to me.
This is really good! I love the basketball games as well! I had season tickets and did not miss a game. This was a an extremely well constructed essay.
