We found this article on news website, ABC 7, located in California. The first thing I noticed was the abundant amount of advertisements lining the side and top of the website. One of the advertisements is about a local fair event in Orange County that offers a $2 off coupon. This could show that this news channel values their community and promoting events so that people stay involved. Overall, the advertisments do not coincide with the topic of this article. However, there are a few advertisements at the bottom that are about supporting the Kid Healthy Campaign and The Walk for Autism Speaks. This could show that the people apart of this news channel are trying to promote these two causes in order to better the rest of socoety. There is also other links on the side that show the headlines for the week. This could show that they want people to stay up to date with what's happening locally and throughout world.
The second thing I noticed were the buttons on the side that allowed people to share this particular article on facebook or twitter. This shows that they want people to be able to talk about this topic with others to gain different perspectives. It shows that 524 people shared this article on facebook and there were 11 retweets as well.
At the bottom of this article, there is a place reserved for people to post comments as well. This goes along with the idea that they would like to hear other people's opinions. The article its self was not biased and more based off of facts. The comments give readers more to think about and help them generate their own opinions instead of hearing the reporters opinions.
Overall, the website interface allows people to post their thoughts, share this article with others, and the advertisements touch on issues outside of the sports world that will essentially help out some good causes.
